When is the next Fortnite live event? Our prediction

Our prediction is this: the next Fortnite live event should be happening when Chapter 5 Season 4 comes to an end.

Season 4 is the new Fortnite season, kicking off this Friday (16th August), which has already been introduced with a Doctor Doom event.

We wouldn’t expect another major event until this new season ends, which won’t be for another three months or so (November is our best guess).

So far, there are no indicators as to what the next live event will entail but we imagine it will set the scene for Chapter 5 Season 5.

As soon as news surrounding the potential Chapter 5 Season 4 live finale appears, we'll be sure to update the page with the latest information and rumours of what Epic Games has planned.

When was the last Fortnite live event?

The last Fortnite live event took place on 10th August 2024.

Fuel being transported along the pipes running from Redline Rig to Brutal Beachhead. Shortly after, Doctor Doom tampered with the pipeline resulting in half of Redline Rig going up in flames.

After the flames parted, Pandora's Box reappeared once again.

Following the event, Fortnite's X account posted a mysterious "to be continued" message suggesting the story between Doctor Doom and Megalo Don isn't over yet.

Pandora's Box is located next to what remains of Redline Rig.

After being submerged as part of the Chapter 5 Season 2 live event, the mysterious box has reappeared within a crater full of molten lava.

With Pandora's Box back in play, Epic Games could be laying the foundation for significant map changes as part of future seasonal updates.

How to join a Fortnite live event

To experience the next Fortnite live event, it's best to join a game of Battle Royale before the event is due to begin to experience it in its entirety.

In preparation for events, Epic often take down Fortnite experiences (like creator mode) until the event's conclusion as they begin to work on implementing the update.

We suspect that it will play out much the same way for the next live event, though we'd recommend logging on at least a couple of hours early if you are serious about attending it.

As the most popular game in the world, Fortnite commonly receives huge queues as players attempt to sign on to Epic's servers. And we wouldn't want anyone to miss out.
